The House of Indo-Afro-American Culture "Mario Luis López" [1] was founded in Santa Fe [2] by the marriage of Lucía Dominga Molina and Mario Luis López in 1988 and since 2002 it has been operating in their home. Despite economic problems and the loss of almost its entire library due to the flooding of the Salado in 2003, it is positioned as a benchmark in the (inter)national framework in this political field and, with more than three decades, it is the oldest Afro-Argentine institution working.

In January 1998, its founders devised a photographic survey of Afro-Santa Fesinos, a task carried out by José Alfredo Destéfano. Cirio presents this collection, the only one of its kind in the country.

On May 6, 1854, the Association of Friends of the Natural History of Plata was established for “the conservation and promotion of the Museum of Buenos Aires”. Among the pieces already assembled was a mummy from Egypt and her sarcophagus covered with hieroglyphics, a donation made by Tomás Gowland, who had also delivered “an Egyptian statue”.

The society took charge of promoting the museum until 1862, transferring it from the convent of Santo Domingo to four rooms of the university, on the corner of Perú and Alsina streets.

We are before a detailed essay on the indigenous textiles located in the city of Azul. Its author, who was born there and where he lives today, brings us a detailed essay on the origin and identity of an artisanal manifestation that transcended community use, adopted by the Creoles and revered by collectors. Regarding their ethnic affiliation, Palombo maintains that it is known that the denomination "pampas" (or better "lelfunches"), applied to indigenous people, can only be accepted as a geographical value that groups different biases.

Until November 27, 2022, the exhibition Materials Seoane is exhibited at the Enrique Larreta Spanish Art Museum in the city of Buenos Aires. Between Galicia and Argentina. In tune with the transatlantic condition of the double cultural anchorage of Luis Seoane (Buenos Aires, 1910 – A Coruña, 1979), this exhibition has been conceived and developed in dialogue between Argentina and Galicia, in a pooling of pieces from collections of the two stages in which the artist performed. As the curatorial proposal, by Pablo García Martínez and the author of these lines, maintains, in this journey that combines material searches, iconographies and devices developed from its two geographies, it aims to enable the review of stories and plots of the artistic modernity in which Seoane was a leading actor.
