The chofeta is a brassiere used among men's smoking accoutrements. In the Río de la Plata, with the architectural development of Buenos Aires once it was named the capital of the new viceroyalty in 1776, silverware spread from its religious space, entering with greater emphasis on the homes of the wealthiest families. The living rooms and desks were enriched with works made of this noble metal, such as mates and tubes for sipping, tureens, incense burners, chofetas, candlesticks and chandeliers….
